The four elements

For 2023, the artist is preparing a solo exhibition in Rabat, the Moroccan Capital of Culture, where she currently lives and works. The pieces of art will be presented under a generic title (the collection is called "Life") and it is a way to discover to the public various of her creations (painting, photography, music and dance), variations on the origin of the Universe and the world, with particular reference to quantum physics.

Still in his calendar this year, the production of his concept "live painting, dance & song", whose first part, related to the element of Fire, is entitled Fire Expression

Fire Expression

It is a show combining live painting, dance and music. The Moroccan artist Manal CHERKI will realize it, around the symbolism of the movement of fire.

The idea is to build a story line around fire, a male element by definition, synonym of hot, light and energy. Fire is also destructive if not controlled and it symbolizes the fight. It refers to the symbolism of war and has the power to purify everything it touches, and that it reduces to ashes.

The show is rich in colors, the corporal expression developed by the artist inviting the spectator to a flaming dystopian theater!

Beginnings of Manal CHERKI

Manal CHERKI began her initiation to art at the age of 8, at the side of her father, who taught her how to build a frame, prepare a canvas and make her first sculptures with clay.

Two years later, her spiritual father Marc Herbin BOUTIER registered her in painting workshops in Rabat, which will allow her to develop her artistic senses further. This is how she acquired a passion for colors and materials that invite her to escape and explore.

Work describing the energies at the origin of the creation of the universe, the invisible hand which worked and endowed man with intelligence, a gift which enabled him to acquire knowledge.

LUNAISON

Work describing the birth of humanity, the moon is a symbol of feminine light, of fertility, of motherhood, of the memory of humanity, of symbiosis, of the emotional, of the unconscious, of daydreaming and of the home. ; the first names in Arabic symbolize humanity in its diversity.

LE COMMENCEMENT

Work describing the woman and her role in the creation of life

A work that describes the connection between humans in the energies of the universe, it also describes the beauty of creation (nature) and the ability of man to reflect, write, and contemplate.
